File Transfer Instructions

To transfer files between your calculator and computer you will need a TI-GRAPH LINK cable and TI Connect* or TI-GRAPH LINK software.

File Transfer Instructions Using TI Connect
|
|
Using TI Connect Software to Transfer Files from your Computer to the TI-89
-
Save the file(s) to your computer. (Your desktop is a good location.)

Connect the link cable to the calculator and computer.

Drag and drop the file(s) onto the TI Connect icon.
If you do not have the TI Connect icon on your desktop:

Open the TI Connect software. TI Connect will automatically detect the calculator model, COM port being used, and the type of link being used.

Drag and drop the file(s) onto the Device Explorer icon that appears in the TI Connect window.

Using TI-GRAPH LINK Software to Transfer Files from your Computer to the TI-89

Save the file(s) to your computer. (Your desktop is a good location.)

Connect the link cable to the calculator and computer.

Open the TI-GRAPH LINK for the TI-89 software.

Go to the Link menu.

Scroll down and select the correct Com Port.

Scroll down and select the correct cable.

Click on Send (under the Link Menu) and a menu will appear.

Browse to the location where you saved the downloaded file(s).

Choose the file(s) you wish to send to your calculator.

Click on the "Add" button to add the file(s) that you wish to send to your calculator.

Click on OK to send the file(s) to the calculator.

When the transfer is complete, click on OK.
