Using TI Connect Software to Transfer Files from your Computer to the TI-89
- Save the file(s) to your computer. (Your desktop is a good location.)
- Connect the link cable to the calculator and computer.
- Drag and drop the file(s) onto the TI Connect icon.
If you do not have the TI Connect icon on your desktop:
- Open the TI Connect software. TI Connect will automatically detect the calculator model, COM port being used, and the type of link being used.
- Drag and drop the file(s) onto the Device Explorer icon that appears in the TI Connect window.
Using TI-GRAPH LINK Software to Transfer Files from your Computer to the TI-89
- Save the file(s) to your computer. (Your desktop is a good location.)
- Connect the link cable to the calculator and computer.
- Open the TI-GRAPH LINK for the TI-89 software.
- Go to the Link menu.
- Scroll down and select the correct Com Port.
- Scroll down and select the correct cable.
- Click on Send (under the Link Menu) and a menu will appear.
- Browse to the location where you saved the downloaded file(s).
- Choose the file(s) you wish to send to your calculator.
- Click on the "Add" button to add the file(s) that you wish to send to your calculator.
- Click on OK to send the file(s) to the calculator.
- When the transfer is complete, click on OK.
