Find activities that support your lesson plans

Challenge students to use and think about how technology can be used to model, analyze and explain math with standards-aligned activities in eight Geometry topics.

Activities can be used as-is or edited to support specific objectives, align with popular text books and include technology tips to help you focus the learning and address student misconceptions.

Applications of Similar Figures

In this lesson, students will use similar figures to solve real-world applications. Students will use similar rectangles to enlarge a photo. Students will use similar triangles to estimate the height of a building.

Exploring the Equation of a Circle

This lesson involves plotting points that are a fixed distance from the origin, dilating a circle entered on the origin, translating a circle away from the origin, and dilating and translating a circle while tracing a point along its circumference.

This lesson involves exploring the shapes formed from 3D figures cut by a horizontal and/or a vertical plane. Students will predict the outcomes of moving planes through 3D figures.
