Getting Started With TI-Nspire™ Technology in Algebra

Workshop overview

Designed for educators who are just beginning to use TI-Nspire™ technology, this workshop introduces the TI-Nspire™ graphing calculator and TI-Nspire™ teacher software in the context of algebra I and algebra II in a high school mathematics curriculum, with some coverage of algebra I in a middle grades mathematics curriculum. Learn a wide range of TI-Nspire™ technology skills, and explore how to effectively integrate Math Nspired activities into your middle grades or high school algebra classroom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using premade TI-Nspire™ documents and have basic skills in graphing and other applications of TI-Nspire™ technology.

What to expect from your in-person workshop

• Twelve hours of hands-on, interactive professional learning held in a small group setting over two, six-hour sessions
• Receive your TI technology and training materials at the workshop site
• Receive a certificate of attendance that may be accepted as professional development credit from your school or district
• We will follow local protocols and safety recommendations and request that all attendees do the same for the health of all in attendance
• If circumstances change, we may need to cancel the workshop or convert this offering to a virtual workshop to comply with local guidelines, and we will notify all registrants as soon as possible
