If you are not running version 3.9, you can update your TI-Nspire™ technology by following directions below:

TI-Nspire™ Student Software, Download and Install your Software.

Download
Download and save the software to a location that you can find easily.
Install
Install the software by double clicking the icon.
NOTE: If the installer displays "An old version of the software is installed, uninstall it manually," please follow the instructions below to uninstall.
Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7


For Windows XP
Step 1:
Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Add or Remove Programs.
Step 2:
In the currently installed programs box, click your TI-Nspire™ Computer Software title (i.e., TI-Nspire™ Student Software) and click Remove.
Step 3:
Follow prompts to complete the uninstallation.

For Windows Vista
Step 1:
Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Step 2:
Click your TI-Nspire™ Computer Software title (i.e., TI-Nspire™ Student Software) and click Uninstall.
Step 3:
Follow prompts to complete the uninstallation.

For Windows 7
Step 1:
Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Step 2:
Click your TI-Nspire™ Computer Software title (i.e., TI-Nspire™ Student Software) and click Uninstall/Change at the top
Step 3:
Follow prompts to complete the uninstallation.

Uninstalling the application
Step 1:
Open the hard drive
Step 2:
Click the "Applications" folder
Step 3:
Locate the icon for the TI-Nspire™ Computer software that you would like to uninstall, and simply drag it into the trash can.

TI-Nspire™ CAS Student Software, Download and Install your Software.

Download
Download and save the software to a location that you can find easily.
Install
Install the software by double clicking the icon.

Download TI-Nspire™ CX OS version 3.9 and update your handheld using TI-Nspire™ CX Software. To load OS version 3.9, you will need 15 MB free space on your handheld. (Note: Once you have upgraded to version 3.9 you are unable to load previous versions of the TI-Nspire™ CX OS). Detailed instructions are available in TI Knowledge Base Solution #21390.

 

TI-Nspire™ CX CAS Handheld, Download and Install your OS

 

Download TI-Nspire™ CX CAS OS version 3.9 and update your handheld using TI-Nspire™ CX CAS Software. To load OS version 3.9, you will need 15 MB free space on your handheld. (Note: Once you have upgraded to version 3.9 you are unable to load previous versions of the TI-Nspire™ CX CAS OS). Detailed instructions are available in TI Knowledge Base Solution #21390.

Check your TI-Nspire™ OS Version and Memory
To check the available memory and learn which operating system (OS) your TI-Nspire™ handheld uses, press HOME > 5: Settings > 4: Status. The amount of memory and version will be listed on the screen.
NOTE: If your handheld does not have the "5: Settings " option, select instead 8: System Info > 5: About to check the OS version. Click ENTER and then HOME > 8: System Info > 4: Handheld Status to check the available memory.
If you have a version 2.1 or earlier, please contact the call center 1.800.TI.CARES who will guide you through the process.
Create free space on your handheld for the new TI-Nspire™ OS
To load TI-Nspire™ OS version 3.9, you will need 15MB free space on your handheld. To free space, please delete or transfer files to a computer.
Download your Handheld OS

Check your TI-Nspire™ CAS OS Version and Memory
