Technology: TI-84 Plus family, TI-Nspire™ Technology
Topic: Data Collection
Speakers: Audrey Cucci, Josh Mize

Excite your students with the mathematics surrounding motion. Using the Calculator Based Ranger (CBR 2™) with either your TI-Nspire™ or TI-84 Plus technology allows your students to get out of their seats and experience the mathematics involving distance and time. In particular, kinesthetic learners will see the connections between the graphs and their movements.

This session will focus on:

  • Increasing relevance using real world data to study piece wise function in algebra I
  • Using data collection devices (CBR 2™) to model sinusoidal function in the algebra II curriculum
