Solution 29010: Answers Displaying in Scientific Notation When in Normal Mode on the TI-83 Family, TI-84 Plus Family, and TI-Nspire™ Handheld in TI-84 Plus Mode.

Why do some answers display in Scientific notation instead of Normal notation with Normal mode selected on the TI-83 family, TI-84 Plus family, or TI-Nspire handheld in TI-84 Plus mode?

Notation Modes only effect the way answers are displayed. If the answer cannot be displayed in 10 digits or the absolute value is less than .001, it will default to Scientific Notation. This is a limitation of the TI-83 family, TI-84 Plus Family, and TI-Nspire in TI-84 Plus mode.
