About the Lesson
Students will simulate, observe, and manipulate the variables of lever and fulcrum as well as force vectors and torque. They will explore an inclined plane as an example of a simple machine. They will calculate the mechanical advantage of different inclined planes and use the formula for applied force on an inclined plane. Assessment will be throughout the simulations and the laboratory, to determine the students understanding.
