Rotational Forces - Lesson Guide

Published on 07/18/2011

Activity Overview

In this Science Nspired module, students will explore rotational forces through simulations, a data-collection lab, formative and summative assessments. This Lesson Guide is a TI-Nspire PublishviewTM document.

About the Lesson

Students will explore the relationship of torques on a balance beam by changing a mass on on end of the beam and adjusting the location of the mass on the other end to reestablish balance. Students will experiment with the balance beam also and measure the force at different locations along the balance beam to help describe the realtionship of torque. Assessment will be throughout the simulation and the experiment.

This Lesson Guide allows you to preview the variety of activities provided for this module as well as give a suggested flow (lesson plan) of the lesson. The Lesson Guide is a PublishViewTM document (.tnsp).
