Circles - Cartesian and parametric on TI 89 Titanium.

Published on 10/20/2009

Activity Overview

The activity is designed for Specialist Mathematics Y12 students to learn both the Cartesian and parametric form of a circle and apply to Ferris wheel problems. It was designed using TI89 Titanium. Please note that TI Nspire's (1.6) parametric functions functionality is not as good as as yet as TI 89 Titanium e.g. it does not allow to see the direction of motion. Therefore the activity can be adapted to TI Nspire after a careful consideration of TI Nspire parametric mode functionality.
