Activity Overview

This activity involves data collected from a microphone that was placed near a glass bottle that was filed with water and then air was blown across the top to produce a sound. Students are given a graph of the data and they are to find both a cosine and sine model of the data.

To help the students find the frequency, it is the reciprocal of the period.
