Measures of Central Tendency Activity: Height of the Class
Activity Overview
The purpose of this lesson is to have students create a box and whiskers plot from collecting class data of each person's height.
Before the Activity
Have students log into TI-Navigator at the beginning of class.
During the Activity
Once the students have measured their heights, have them enter their data value into an empty list that you have sent out through the Activity Center in TI-Navigator 2.1. Collect their lists and augment them, save, and send it back to the students.
After the Activity
Use Screen Capture to check student progress and to see if they can get a box plot on their calculators.
