Students should be working by themselves to write the equations for this activity. Once the students have logged into navigator, ask one student to plot two points on the activity center graph. Once the points are plotted, ask all students to come up with the equation for the line. Once students have completed the problem, use quick poll open response to see what answers the students got. Graph the answers from quick poll to see which answer was correct. Once all of the students questions are answered, have another student plot two points and continue the same process.
This activity will help the students compute slope and write equations in y=mx + b.
There is a learning check activity that goes along with this activity.
