The idea of this activity is to use polling to find out if the students know common definitions used in Geometry as we prepared for our NCLB assessment, then to test their knowledge at the end using LearnCheck.
The first part of this activity is made in 24 point font so that you can make overheads of the questions and answer choices. The activity was created to do without the LCD projector, as I wanted every student to vote, then I wanted to send the class results back to the class for discussion before I tell them the correct answer. After I have gone through all the overheads, I ended the activity with the learn check several days later to see what knowledge was gained.
