Creating a scatter plot using data entered in a list
Follow these steps to create a scatter plot using data entered in a list:
- Press Home and then Lists and Spreadsheets.
- Manually enter data.
- Press Home and then Graphs and Geometry.
- Then press menu, then graph type and then scatter plot.
- Highlight the x drop down menu by pressing enter and highlight the appropriate column and press enter.
- Highlight the y drop down menu by pressing enter and highlight the appropriate column and press enter.
- To readjust scale, press menu and then window. Now press Zoom-Data view.
Follow along with this example to create a scatter plot using data entered in a list:
- Press Home and then Lists and Spreadsheets.
- We will use this set of data:
. Manually enter this set of data into the spreadsheet.
Data Set 1 will be the x coordinates. Data Set 2 will be the y coordinates.
Enter Data Set 1 into column A and name column A "xcoord". Enter Data Set 2 into column B and name column B "ycoord".
- Press Home and then Graphs and Geometry.
- Then press menu, then graph type and then scatter plot.
- In the data entry line at the bottom of the screen, highlight the x drop down menu by pressing enter and highlight "xcoord" and press enter.
- In the data entry line at the bottom of the screen, highlight the y drop down menu by pressing enter and highlight "ycoord" and press enter.
- To readjust scale, press menu and then window. Now press Zoom-Data view.
