You will need a TI-GRAPHLINK™ cable and software (TI-Connect™* or TI-GRAPHLINK™) to enable you to transfer files between your calculator and computer

*TI Connect version 1.1 is not supported on the Windows® XP platform. The driver has been submitted to Microsoft® for certification and TI expects to release a version of TI Connect with Windows® XP compatibility in the first quarter 2003.
Using the TI-Connect Software to transfer files from your computer to the TI-89
- Save the file(s) to your computer. (Your Desktop is a good location)
- Connect the link cable to the calculator and computer
- Drag and drop the file(s) onto the TI-Connect Icon
If you do not have the TI-Connect Icon on your desktop:
- Open the TI-Connect software. TI-Connect will automatically detect the calculator model, COM port being used, and the type of link being used
- Drag and drop the file(s) onto the Device Explorer Icon
Using the TI-GRAPHLINK Software to transfer files from your computer to the TI-89
- Save the file(s) to your computer. (Your Desktop is a good location)
- Connect the link cable to the calculator and computer
- Open the appropriate TI-GRAPHLINK software
- Go to the Link Menu
- Scroll down and select the correct Com Port
- Scroll down and select the correct cable
- Click on Send (under the Link Menu) and a menu will appear
- Browse to where you saved the downloaded file(s)
- Choose the file(s) you wish to send to your calculator
- Click on the "Add" button to add to the list of file(s) that you wish to send to your calculator
- Click on OK to send the file(s) to the calculator
- When the transfer is complete, click on OK
