The following questions ask you to find the area under f(x) = x3 above the x-axis between x = 0 and x = 1 by using different methods.

  1. Use the right-hand Riemann sum function you defined in Lesson 17.1 to approximate the area using ten subintervals.
  2. Use the left-hand Riemann sum function you defined in Lesson 17.2 to approximate the area using ten subintervals.
  3. Use the AREA program to approximate the area using ten midpoint rectangles.
  4. Write the command used to estimate the area using the fnInt command from the Home screen.
  5. On the Graph screen, use the CALC menu's Definite Integral command to approximate the area.
