Teaching and Learning With TI-Nspire™ CX Technology in High School Mathematics

Designed for educators who are using TI-Nspire™ CX technology, this workshop introduces the TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator and TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software in the context of high school mathematics.

Learn a wide range of TI-Nspire™ CX technology skills and explore how to effectively integrate Math Nspired activities into your high school mathematics classroom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using premade TI-Nspire™ Documents and have basic skills in graphing, geometry and other applications of TI-Nspire™ CX technology.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons for algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics.
  • Introduction to basic features of teacher software.

  • Opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs.
  • Coverage of clusters of activities for algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics.
  • Exploration of online resources and formative assessment documents with teacher software.

  • Wider curriculum coverage across key content areas in algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics.
  • Introduction to data collection and analysis with the CBR™ 2 motion sensor.
  • Additional opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs.

This workshop focuses on appropriate use of the TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator and Teacher Software, with an emphasis on numeric, algebraic, geometric and statistical functionality through dynamic, interactive lessons across the high school mathematics curriculum.
