Teaching and Learning With TI-Nspire™ CX Technology in High School Mathematics

Designed for educators who are using TI-Nspire™ CX technology, this workshop introduces the TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator and TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software in the context of high school mathematics.

Learn a wide range of TI-Nspire™ CX technology skills and explore how to effectively integrate Math Nspired activities into your high school mathematics classroom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using premade TI-Nspire™ Documents and have basic skills in graphing, geometry and other applications of TI-Nspire™ CX technology.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

	Overview of the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld, including general calculator, graphing and statistical functionality. Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons for algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics. Introduction to basic features of teacher software.
	Opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs. Coverage of clusters of activities for algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics. Exploration of online resources and formative assessment documents with teacher software.
	Wider curriculum coverage across key content areas in algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics. Introduction to data collection and analysis with the CBR™ 2 motion sensor. Additional opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs.
