3D Graphing Using TI-Nspire™ CX Technology — From Algebra Through Calculus

When: Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 | 7 p.m. Central time
Technology: TI-Nspire™ CX family
Presenter: Steve Phelps

We live in a 3D world. Why don’t we do more to help students make sense of the mathematics of this 3D world?

In this webinar, we will explore ways to incorporate 3D graphing in each of the math content areas, from algebra through calculus, by exploring cross-sections of solids, graphs of planes and surfaces, and surfaces of revolution.

“Drawing 3D shapes that inspire students' imaginations. The hyperboloid of one sheet using hyperbolic trig functions and parametric graphing was awesome! Creating a Torus and thinking about finding volumes and surface areas was fun.” — Curt Wyffels, Wayzatta High School (Minnesota)
