First, install the CBL 2 software. Download the following file to your computer by clicking on the file name and saving it to a folder on your computer. Be sure to record the name of the folder for future reference.
Next, Plug your TI Connectivity Cable into your computer and into the CBL 2.
Locate cbl2_109.exe on your computer and double-click on it to install the software to your CBL 2. It may take up to 20 minutes to install the CBL 2 software.
Next, install the DataMate App to your TI-83 Plus/TI-83 Plus Silver Edition:

If installing the English version, select RECEIVE MODE for your handheld. * For the TI-82, TI-83, TI-83 Plus, press [2nd] [LINK], press [>] to RECEIVE, then press [ENTER].

Select TRANSFER on the CBL 2. This allows it to detect the handheld to which it is connected and sends the appropriate version of the built-in DataMate software. (This software controls the CBL 2 and how it collects data.)
