How to take this course
|
Each lesson consists of one or more interactive modules. These modules cover the all the tools of the TI-Nspire Computer Software and handheld. You will be able to complete the activities right in your web browser on a simulated TI-Nspire handheld or the Computer Software. Follow the audio instructions as you work through each lesson, as you will hear which key or keys to press to make the course proceed. Along the way, the course will pause and wait for you to press (using your mouse) the appropriate key(s) on the onscreen TI-Nspire simulation. Each lession has a player control at the bottom center so that you can go forward or backward in the movie. Some frames of a movie may contain a 'continue' button or a 'click for answer' button that you must click to continue. You can return to this page before completing the movie by clicking the 'back' button on your browser's toolbar.
You may also wish to follow along on your own TI-Nspire handheld. Most of the time, each lesson starts with a new, empty document.
Much of the cursor movement (using the NavPad) has been minimized in these lessons to reduce the number of clicks you must supply and to reduce the file size of the movies. As a result, you will see the pointer on the handheld screen jump around from place to place. On your own TI-Nspire handheld you will have to move the pointer to the correct position using the NavPad.
For pointers and tips on specific TI-Nspire skills, check the Atomic Learning TI-Nspire tutorials. These are not interactive as are the lessons in this course, but they are brief and informative.
These lessons show the TI-Nspire handheld and the TI-Nspire CAS handhelds. Some tutorials may appear slightly different from your handheld due to operating system updates.
These movies are 698x532. A screen resolution of 1024x768 gives the best viewing size, but 800x600 works well, too, if you don't have too many toolbars in your browser.
