What is a T³ Regional Conference?
T³ Regional Conferences are designed to help educators integrate TI technology into the classroom. Attendees can choose from a variety of sessions to meet their individual needs. Session topics are geared toward the following subject areas:

| | Math and science, with emphasis on algebra |
| | Sessions targeted to new users/non-users of TI technology |
| | Other topics of your choosing that are relevant to the needs of your attendees, but do not compete directly with TI products and services |

| Local and/or regional educators conduct the presentations. T³ Instructors that speak can choose to use their travel stipend to help defray costs. TI staff will also submit proposals for sessions specifically focusing on the newest TI technology, products and programs.
A typical T³ Regional Conference consists of the following:

| | Two days in length |
| | 30-100 sessions (4 to 10 concurrent sessions with 4-6 time slots per day) |
| | Keynote general session for all participants |
| | Sessions for beginners to advanced users of TI technology as well as new and experienced teachers |
| | 45-60 and 90-100 minute session time slots |
| | 300-1,000 K-college participants |
| | 10 or more exhibitors/vendors |

| Local "Organizers" are responsible for
Planning all local logistics. This includes:
|
| | Making all arrangements for acquiring the conference venue, |
| | Securing any administrative or custodial/security support required, |
| | Setting up any science and/or computer labs, as needed, |
| | Securing any audio-visual, Internet or technology needs of your speakers, |
| | Arranging for TI technology through the TI Workshop Loan program, more details below. |
| | Registration of all attendees |
| | Development and publishing of the program that details the times, rooms, and speaker and topic of each session. Then, e-mailing the final version of their program to Mark Frye at frye@ti.com. |
| | Local promotion, publicity and advertising. |
| | Providing the T³ office with conference information to promote on T³ website and for national promotions, e-mail "flyers" to regional educators in TI database, publicity and advertising. |
| | Recruitment of local and regional speakers, volunteers and exhibitors. |
| | Identification and acquisition of exhibitors. |
| | Providing lodging options and driving directions to attendees. |
| | Payment of all suppliers and any paid speakers. |
| | Providing updates/reports to the Dallas T³ office, at specific intervals during the planning timeline that provides status of registrations, address changes for materials, vendor/exhibitor recruitment, program content, etc. |
| | Collecting attendee demographic information (using the "gray" cards provided by the T³ office), and sending them, along with the attendee evaluations back to the T³ office at the conclusion of the conference. |

| T³ Organization (Dallas) is responsible for
|
| | Providing Organizer with a $6,000 stipend to help defray the cost of hosting the conference. Any additional costs, if any, not covered by this stipend should be made up with the attendee registration fee, revenue from advertisers in your program, and/or exhibitor fees. To receive this "stipend," organizers will submit an "invoice" and "supplier classification form" that is provided by T³. A bonus program is also in place to reward organizers that are successful in acquiring more than 300 attendees, as follows (bonus based on returned "pink cards") |

$1,000 bonus for 300-400 attendees
$2,000 bonus for 400-500 attendees
$3,000 bonus for 500+ attendees
$1,000 bonus for acquiring 15 or more vendors/exhibitors
(excluding TI)

| | Providing a "How to Host" manual to help Organizer implement their conference. Included in the manual are templates, timelines, and other tools and ideas to help organize a successful conference. |
| | Providing Organizer with a "proposed" program template that includes TI technology sessions. |
| | Additional advertising and promotional support by sending e-mail newsletters with information about your conference to potential participants and speakers in your state and surrounding states. We will also promote your conference on the T³ website and be glad to create Web pages or link to any site you have set up. In addition, we will be glad to provide you with a template to make designing a flyer or registration form easy. |
| | Sending the Organizer a selection of the newest TI technology that can be used for door prizes (see complete list below). |
| | Providing participant folders that include the latest information on TI products and services. |
| | The Organizer has use of the TI Workshop Loan program (WOLOP) to provide loaned equipment for all of attendees, if needed. Organizers contact WOLOP directly at 1-888-917-6411. They will arrange the shipping of TI technology both to and from the conference at no cost. |
| | Sending a representative from the Dallas T³ office to each conference to provide on-site support and assistance to the Organizer, etc. |
| | Your TI Educational Technology Consultant (ETC) will also attend your conference and set up a TI exhibit. |
