Algebra - Linear Functions, Geometry - Quadrilaterals and Polygons

This session focuses on Linear Functions and Quadrilaterals and Polygons. In discussion of Linear Functions we investigate developing the concept of the slope of a line, relating slope to rate of change, and exploring the relationship among tables, graphs and symbolic representations of a line using the multiple representation function of TI-Nspire.  Our discussion of Quadrilaterals and polygons will exhibit how to help students extend both interior and exterior angle sum theorems to general polygons, manipulate segments to create quadrilaterals, and investigate properties of special quadrilaterals.
