Regional High School MTE Workshop Online Application

This workshop for math teacher educators will take place in at the State University of New York - Geneseo,
on June 4-June 6, 2010. Space is limited.
Participant Qualifications
Qualified candidates:
Are math teacher educators at four-year colleges or universities with a minimum of 10 pre-service teachers or in-service/graduate high school mathematics students graduating from their teacher training program each year.
Have approval from an administrator to host a 12-hour follow-up pre-service workshop on their campus during the 2010-2011 academic year, if approval is required.
Should bring a laptop with administrator privileges to install TI-NspireTM computer software at the June workshop at SUNY Geneseo.

Participant Requirements
Participants in the New York Regional High School MTE Technology Workshop should plan to:
Encourage their pre-service teachers and graduate students to attend a 12-hour follow-up Pre-service Technology Workshop that will be hosted on their campus.
Develop an activity of lesson plan that effectively uses TI-Nspire technology.
Identify two or more opportunities to integrate TI-Nspire technology in their math methods, advanced methods, math technology or Capstone course and implement them.Opportunities identified must be submitted to TI in the form of a course syllabus.

By checking this box, I accept all the requirements for attending the High School MTE Technology workshop. I understand that I will be expected to submit a copy of my course enrollment and syllabus to TI. I will encourage my pre-service and graduate students to attend a follow-up 12-hour Pre-service Technology Workshop on my campus during the 2010-2011 academic year. I agree to integrate TI-Nspire 2 or more times during the course of my math methods, advanced methods, math technology or Capstone course. I will also develop an activity or lesson plan using TI-Nspire technology.

Finally, I understand that a W9 form will be filed with the IRS if I intend to keep the products. If the products are accepted as college/university property, a W9 form is not required. If I keep the products myself, TI will send me a 1099 IRS form for the year that I receive the TI-Nspire software.
