Activity Overview

In this activity, students will determine the number of days between dates. They will find the amount due on a loan at the end of a term, which may be in days, months or years.

Before the Activity

    		During the Activity

    		Distribute the page to the class.

    Follow the Activity procedures:
  • Select the dbd command from the calculator menu
  • Input the beginning date and the ending date in the MM.DD.YY format
  • Find the number of days between the two dates
  • Use the result to calculate the amount due on a loan

    		After the Activity

    		Review student results:
  • As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
  • Re-teach concepts as necessary
