Activity Overview

This activity focuses on what it means to graph a function, and what the graph of a function means. The following ideas are stressed: the point (a, f(a)) is on the graph of the function y = f(x) any point (a, b) on the graph of y = f(x) satisfies the equation b = f(a) the interpretation of the horizontal coordinate of a point on a function graph as a function input the interpretation of the vertical coordinate of a point on a function graph as a function output
