Activity Overview

Students will use the Data/Graphs Wizard tool to graph data and determine a line that best fits your data and use the Data/Graphs Wizard tool to identify the relationship between stride length and height.

Before the Activity

Students should have either TI-83 or TI-84 Plus calculator. The attached .pdf form should be printed, copied and distributed to students.

Perform the procedures outlined in the printed .pdf form. Students will investigate how the relationship between stride length and height can help determine the height of someone leaving footprints at a crime scene.
