	Setting the Trend

Activity Overview

Students will determine the trend in atomic radius for the periodic table, the trend in first ionization energy for the periodic table, and the trend in electronegativity for the periodic table.

Before the Activity

Students should have either TI-84 or TI-84 Plus calculator. The attached .pdf form should be printed, copied and distributed to students.

Perform the procedures outlined in the printed .pdf form. Students use the Periodic App to explore the structure of the periodic table and determine trends in it.
