Activity Overview

Students will produce histograms using the DATA GRAPHS WIZARD.

Before the Activity

Students should have either a TI-83 or TI-84 Plus along with SciTool application. The attached .pdf form should be printed, copied and distributed to students.

During the Activity

Perform the procedures outlined in the printed .pdf form including the creation of list L1. Students will learn through data analysis the concept of biological variance.

After the Activity

  • Review student results
  • As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
  • Re-teach concepts as necessary
