Activity Overview

Learn how to graph dependent and independent variables. Use the SciTools application to display data on your calculator.

Before the Activity

Students should have either a TI-83 or TI-84 Plus along with SciTool application. The attached .pdf form should be printed, copied, and distrubuted to students.

During the Activity

Perform the procedures outlined in the printed .pdf form including the creation of list L1, L2 and L3. Students will learn through data analysis general trend dependent and independant variables.

After the Activity

  • Review student results
  • As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
  • Re-teach concepts as necessary
