    Learn how to bring TI-Nspire technology into your instruction.* T³ – Teachers Teaching with Technology™ Summer Workshops offer hands-on, subject-specific TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS technology training to new and experienced educators.

    You’ll find out how to effectively use the latest graphing technology in your classroom. TI-Nspire technology combines enhanced graphing capabilities with computer features to provide a more engaging way to explore concepts, extending beyond the possibilities of traditional graphing calculators.

    Attend a “Getting Started with TI-Nspire” or “TI-Nspire for Intermediate Users” workshop and leave with ideas to energize your classroom and your very own TI-Nspire CX or TI-Nspire CX CAS handheld and TI-Nspire Teacher Software (included in the course cost).

    Getting Started with TI-Nspire Course Descriptions

    The Getting Started workshops are three-day professional development opportunities for those that are new to or at the beginner level of using TI-Nspire technology. The T³ Instructors leading these workshops are highly-knowledgeable on the technology and content areas of the workshops and are selected and trained by theT³ organization. In addition to better understanding how to use TI-Nspire technology effectively in the classroom, those attending will learn to use easy-to-access online resources, create original activities and enhance formative assessment opportunities. All participants will receive a TI-Nspire CX or TI-Nspire CX CAS handheld and TI-Nspire Teacher Software, along with a set of classroom-ready activities and explorations.

    • Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in High School Science

      Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in High School Science is a three-day workshop focusing on new and innovative ways to collect, analyze and display data in the high school science classroom. This workshop will immerse science teachers in hands-on explorations that model effective classroom use of technology covering a variety of topics including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Investigations will include simulations using TI-Nspire documents in addition to using the new Vernier DataQuest app and the TI-Nspire Lab Cradle to identify patterns and use them to model science phenomena and make predictions.

    • Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in Connecting Science and Mathematics

      Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in Connecting Science and Mathematics is a three-day workshop designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to excite and engage grade 7-12 students to tackle the challenges of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The workshop will cover a variety a topics including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Precalculus/Calculus. Investigations will include simulations using TI-Nspire documents and data collection probes with the Vernier DataQuest app. The workshop will provide a foundation for the effective use of the technology and encourage math and science educators to learn together in exploring activities.

      Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in Middle Grades Mathematics is a three-day workshop designed to equip teachers to excite and engage students about topics in Middle Grades Math. An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards Mathematical Practices. The workshop will cover a variety of topics including Grades 6, 7, and 8, including some Pre-Algebra topics.

      Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in Algebra is a three-day workshop designed to equip teachers to excite and engage students about topics in Algebra. An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards Mathematical Practices. A variety of topics will be covered including Pre-Algebra through Algebra 1 and up to Algebra 2.

An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards Mathematical Practices. A variety of topics will be covered including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus/Calculus, and Statistics.

    The TI-Nspire for Intermediate Users workshops are three-day professional development opportunities for those with some experience or at the intermediate level of using TI-Nspire technology. The T³ Instructors leading these workshops are highly-knowledgeable on the technology and content areas of the workshops and are selected and trained by theT³ organization. In addition to better understanding how to use TI-Nspire technology effectively in the classroom, those attending will learn to use easy-to-access online resources, create original activities and enhance formative assessment opportunities. All participants will receive a TI-Nspire CX or TI-Nspire CX CAS handheld and TI-Nspire Teacher Software, along with a set of classroom-ready activities and explorations.

    • TI-Nspire™ for Intermediate Users: High School Mathematics

      TI-Nspire™ for Intermediate Users: High School Mathematics is a three-day workshop designed to equip teachers to excite and engage students about topics in high school mathematics. A variety of topics will be covered including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus/Calculus, and Statistics. Activities will emphasize the reasoning, sense-making and understanding that TI-Nspire technology can offer in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards Mathematical Practices. Participants will receive guidance and have time to create their own activities and enhance formative assessment opportunities.

    The Special Interest Workshops are professional development opportunities for educators interested in applying TI-Nspire technology to special teaching needs, Common Core State Standards, as well as connecting math and science learning. The T³ Instructors leading these workshops are highly-knowledgeable on the technology and content areas of the workshops and are selected and trained by the T³ organization. In addition to better understanding how to use TI-Nspire technology effectively in the classroom, those attending will learn to use easy-to-access online resources, create original activities and enhance formative assessment opportunities. All participants will receive a TI-Nspire CX or TI-Nspire CX CAS handheld and TI-Nspire Teacher Software, along with a set of classroom-ready activities and explorations.

    • Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ Technology in Algebra - Special Needs Focus

      Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ Technology in Algebra - Special Needs Focus is a three-day workshop designed to equip teachers to excite and engage students about topics in Algebra. The focus will be directed towards educators of students with special needs with modified materials to provide additional supports and strategies for working with such a population. An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards of Mathematical Practices. The activities presented will cover key topics from Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. It is designed optimally as a three day workshop but can be delivered in other configurations as well.

      Implementing the Common Core Mathematical Practices with TI-Nspire™ Technology is a three-day workshop designed to equip teachers to excite and engage students using the Common Core State Standards of Mathematical Practices. An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards of Mathematical Practices. Participants will reflect on what steps are needed to get the students engaged in the mathematical practices through case studies, video and task analysis.

    • TI-Nspire Technology for Advanced Users: Designing for Learning and Inquiry

      TI-Nspire Technology for Advanced Users: Designing for Learning and Inquiry is designed as a follow up to the TI-Nspire Technology for Intermediate Users workshop. During the two day workshop participants will expand their skills in various aspects of using TI-Nspire technology. These will include creating TI-Nspire documents and advanced features of TI-Nspire technology in using it as an investigative and problem solving tool. There will also be further discussions on strategies in effectively incorporating applications of TI-Nspire technology in their classrooms including project based learning and differentiated instruction.

      Getting Started with TI-Nspire Technology in High School Mathematics - Virtual Workshop is a four-part synchronous online workshop. The workshop is designed to equip teachers with the tools and knowledge to excite and engage students about topics in high school mathematics. An emphasis will be placed on pedagogy and the implementation of effective and appropriate use of technology in an interactive mathematics classroom, in alignment with the Common Core State Standards of Mathematical Practices. A variety of topics will be covered including Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Each online session will be three hours and will provide an opportunity to communicate with other teachers within an asynchronous social networking setting.
