Workshops

On-site Workshops, facilitated by T³™ Instructors, focus on learning to use specific TI products and integrating them into the classroom. Courses are held on three consecutive days at your school for a maximum of 25 attendees. On-site Workshops are available for purchase by your school or district. Workshops can be purchased with or without TI technology included in the cost. The cost of a 3-day workshop including 25 TI graphing handhelds and 25 single-user licenses of educator software is $11,490. The cost of the same workshop without technology is $5,490.

    • Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in Middle Grades Mathematics

      • Platform: TI-Nspire™ handhelds and TI-Nspire™ Teacher Software
      • Subjects: Middle Grades Mathematics, Pre-Algebra

      This workshop is designed for educators who interested in or are just beginning to use TI-Nspire™ technology. It will cover the basics to get started with the technology and teaching with it. This will comprise the use of both the handheld and the Teacher Software.

      TI-Nspire™ technology will be introduced in the context of the middle school mathematics curriculum. Participants will also explore learning resources such as Activities Exchange and Mathematics Nspired, designed to support further use of TI-Nspire™ technology and additional activities, along with discussions on the integration of these in their classrooms. At the conclusion of the three days, participants should have a comfort level in the use of premade documents, along with basic skills in the use of graphing, geometry and the other applications of TI-Nspire™ technology.

    • Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ in Algebra

At the conclusion of the three days, participants should have a comfort level in the use of premade documents, along with basic skills in the use of graphing and the other applications of TI-Nspire™ technology.

Participants will explore simulations, data collection activities, and learning resources such as Science Nspired, along with discussions on the integration of these in their classrooms. At the conclusion of the three days, participants should have a comfort level in the use of premade documents, along with basic skills in the use of various probes and experiments, along with graphing and the other applications of TI-Nspire™ technology.

      This workshop is designed for educators who interested in learning to use and implement TI-Nspire™ Navigator technology. It will cover the basics to get started with the technology and teaching with it. This will comprise the use of both the handheld and the Teacher Software with a primary focus on the TI-Nspire™ Navigator software.

      TI-Nspire™ technology will be introduced in the context of the high school mathematics curriculum, with topics mainly in Algebra and Geometry but including ones that are appropriate up to Calculus. Participants will also explore learning resources such as Mathematics Nspired, designed to support further use of TI-Nspire™ technology and additional activities, along with discussions on the integration of these in their classrooms. At the conclusion of the three days, participants should have a comfort level in the use of TI-Nspire™ Navigator and ready to begin use in the classroom. Some previous experience with TI-Nspire™ is not required but would be beneficial.

Participants will work through classroom-ready activities that use graphing calculators to enhance students' understanding and problem-solving abilities. These activities will help develop teachers' familiarity with the TI-84 Plus through hands on explorations, modeling effective classroom use of technology.

    • Exploring Data Collection with the TI-84 Plus

      This workshop is designed for educators who want to learn more about the data collection features of the
      TI-84 Plus and how they can assist them in covering topics in high school mathematics and science.

      Real-world applications will be highlighted. Participants will work through classroom-ready activities that use the TI-84 Plus with data collection devices such as the CBL 2™, CBR 2™, and Vernier EasyLink™ to enhance students' understanding and problem-solving abilities. These activities will help develop teachers' familiarity with the
      TI-84 Plus and data collection devices through hands on explorations, modeling effective classroom use of technology.
